Announcement 1 - 3/13/2020

The University is cancelling classes for some unspecified period of time.
However, we must continue this course online as best we can.

Exams:
Exam 3 is currently scheduled for Tuesday, April 14.  If class is back in
session at that time, then the exam can be given in class.  If class in not
back in session, then we will have to discuss how to accomplish this
online.

Homework:
Homework counts as 15% of the course grade.  However, I will not
be collecting or grading any homework during the period when class
is not in session.  If in-class meetings never resume, then your final
homework average will be whatever it is right now.

Even if homework is not collected and graded, you will still be
responsible for all topics and problems on the homework assignment
sheet.  Solutions to each assignment will be posted on the course
website as well as Canvas on the due date for the assignment.
So, for example, Assignment 14 (springs and circuits) will have
solutions posted on Wednesday, March18 and Assignment 15
(variation of parameters) will have solutions posted on Tuesday,
March 24.

Lessons:
It's unfortunate that we cannot meet face-to-face to talk about
differential equations.  However, what I can do is post each lesson
in as much detail as I can type up.  The first lesson I am posting
is on variation of parameters.  Please read this lesson and try to
complete the problems on Assignment 15 by March 24.

Lessons will be posted on our course website as well as on
Canvas.
